Charity First Adds “Submission Management Portal” From Appulate

San Francisco, CA – May 2, 2012 Charity First will be adding a new portal for its agents this Spring and they have selected Appulate, Inc. to provide its “Submission Management Portal” technology. The addition of the portal will allow CharityFirst to put its programs online where agents can more easily access them and submit business. Initially, the automation will be available for Charity First’s established, Nonprofit programs.

Charity First’s Nonprofit, “Religious” Program is a robust package policy tailored exclusively for denominational/non-denominational churches, synagogues and temples and includes General Liability, Property and Sexual Abuse coverage’s. “By reducing data entry, Charity First will not only make it easier on their agents to do business with them, but will also promote efficiencies within their organization,” said Dimitri Nikouline, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Appulate.

Charity First will be the first MGA of its kind to have a full portal for its agents. Features of this will include an “Appetite Guide”, data collection through dynamic questionnaires, rating, underwriting, data bridging, e-signature and document management.

“This project is all about making it easier to do business with us,” said Riley Binford, Executive Vice President at Charity First. “Time is our most precious resource and by reducing the amount of data entry for the agent, we will save them time,” commented Binford.

While offering agent portals has been prominent for standard lines carriers in recent years, the trend has only recently been popular in the MGA market. Charity First’s May “go-live” date will make them one of just handful of Managing General Agents to offer such functionality. “This is directionally where all MGA’s are headed, but Charity First and its stakeholders will reap the rewards sooner,” suggests Nikouline.
